The deadly bombing of the MSF trauma hospital in Afghanistan by the US military has precipitated a global campaign demanding an independent inquiry. Medecins Sans Frontieres is known for its fearless and fair approach to working in conflict zones, but has withdrawn from the northern city that has been occupied by Taliban fighters since last month. The incident is a disaster for humanitarian responders and a diplomatic debacle for the US, but will it also result in a slowdown in NATO’s planned withdrawal from Afghanistan?

Spread out over 400 square kilometres, the Angkor Archaeological Park is the site of the most famous ancient city and temple of Angkor Wat. Dating back to the 9th century, the area contains many magnificent temples which are all fine examples of Khmer architecture, containing carvings, reliefs and statues of religious and great artistic significance.
