In 2008, a French Franciscan nun called Sister Bernadette Moriau visited the shrine where the Virgin Mary appeared to a young shepherdess in the mid-19th Century. Moriau had Cauda Equina Syndrome and was partially paralysed. She visited Lourdes in a wheelchair but immediately after returning home, she underwent a sudden, full, lasting and medically-inexplicable recovery. In other words - a miracle.
