These two gentlemen work alongside each other for eight hours a day and have a fantastic friendship. You would think after spending that much time together and being so involved in the game of golf, sitting down to chat golf after-hours would be a deal-breaker. Lucky for us, they are just as passionate outside te fitting bays as they are inside them. Before we knew it, almost three hours of banter and hijinks had gone by in what seemed like minutes. We absolutely loved having David and Julien sit down with us. Their insight into the industry and the fitting world is so valuable and we plan on having them on again, as you’ll be able to tell, it was too much fun. They both have a great story on how they got into the industry and where they want to go from here. And, they are both solid, and I mean SOLID sticks! He also just so happens to be the front runner for the nicest human on the planet award. Cyrus has become friends with us over on the blog, and we’ve even tee’d it up in one of his most recent stays in Vegas. Hailing from Vancouver, Britsh Columbia, our friendly Candian neighbor to the North, has some incredible insight into the global world of golf. After spending ten years in China, he now calls Canada his home and is growing his legacy as an entrepreneur bringing business from the two sides of the world together. Sheshan Golf Club The majority of our conversation dealt with his time in China. At the young age of 25, Cyrus Janssen became the Head Pro at Sheshan, and it’s a fantastic story. Send us a textEpisode 16 - August 29th, 2019 -Vegas PGA Show We didn’t get a chance to talk about the Vegas PGA Show since it happened, so before we dived into the Tour Championship banter, we covered a little bit about the show. What it is, what it isn’t, and how we feel about the event. There’s room for growth and Ryan had a fantastic idea to help get the unique, and smaller boutique brands involved. The Tour Championship Honestly, this could have been the entire episode. There is some much debate going on about the new format, and we wanted to have our opinions voice. Hence this episode. There are a ton of reactions from a lot of people out there, and we were fortunate enough to have two of the more prominent names in social media chime in with their own opinions. @PGAMemes and @Bryangolf both left us a voice mail (702-518-1864 USE IT!), and we listened, then talked about their views on how the Tour Championship could be better and if it should be better. For me, it’s all about Match Play for the finals. Ryan agrees, and so do a lot of other people. Ryan and I both want to thank Travis and Brian for calling in and being a part of the show. We love it when people call in, so keep those messages coming. The President Cup Not much to talk about here but we did bring it up since it is the biggest event on the future calendar of golf.
