Folge vom 11.11.2018Episode 50 - Total Saints PodcastTotal Saints Podcast celebrates its 50th Episode - and the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War 1.With Steve Grant away watching the England Cricket Team in Sri Lanka, its just like old times, with Adam Leitch (Chief Sport Writer, Daily Echo) and Ben Stanfield (Host) battling through the trials and tribulations as a twosome.Discussion covers the disappointing draw with Watford FC - and the continued wait for a 2018/19 Saints home win. In summary, Simon Hooper, "Premier League referee", makes few friends (on either side!) after a simply woeful performance.Off the pitch its been another hectic week at St. Mary's, with both Vice Chairman of Football (Les Reed) and Technical Director (Martin Hunter) booted from their positions at the Club. Following that, the Saints Chairman (Ralph Krueger) carried out his latest 'Big Interview', where he reflected on both the exits, and also what may/may not happen next on the South Coast. In summary, it appears to involve spaces. And opportunities. Ultimately Adam was at the centre of all of it, diligently reporting every word, emotion and analytical comment he could (until his keyboard finally gave up!) To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of World War 1, Will Dawe (Founder of Saints Archive) joins us to remember some of the fallen WW1 ex-Saints in our latest 'Total Recall'.Lastly, in celebration of our 50th Episode, if you'd like to become a Patron of TSP then you now can, we're on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/totalsaintspod). Folge vom 29.10.2018Episode 49 - Total Saints PodcastThe pressure was on Saints to finally win a Premier League home game at St. Mary's, with rock-bottom Newcastle in town, but again they failed. The final score 0-0! Just when will they win their next game on their own patch!?Regulars Ben Stanfield (Host), Adam Leitch (Chief Sports Writer, Daily Echo) and Steve Grant (Owner of SaintsWeb) discuss the frustrations of that game, which mirror much of the last 12-18 months! They also look ahead to a daunting visit to Manchester City in the Premier League, whilst reflecting on the very sad helicopter crash at Leicester City this past weekend, and the likely rearrangement of Saints' 4th Round Carabao Cup game that was scheduled to take place this coming Tuesday. Finally, sandwiched in the middle of the Podcast - not least to give the guys something positive and enjoyable to talk about - is the first "Total Recall", where TSP will look back at some memorable Saints wins from over the years, starting with the 3-0 thumping of Harry Redknapp's Portsmouth in 2003.Total Saints Podcast is the dedicated weekly Podcast going to the heart of all things Saints FC!Twitter: Total Saints PodcastFacebook: www.facebook.com/totalsaintspodE-Mail: totalsaintspodcast@yahoo.com Hosted on Acast. Folge vom 22.10.2018Episode 48 - Total Saints PodcastSaints travelled down to the Vitality Stadium (Dean Court!) this weekend to take on AFC Bournemouth in the ‘Its not a Derby’ Derby. The game eventually ending 0-0, despite an improved performance by Saints – at least at one end of the pitch anyway! After travelling across the globe during the International break (well, two of them anyway!), Ben Stanfield (Host) is joined once again by regular panel members Adam Leitch (Chief Sports Writer, The Daily Echo) and Steve Grant (St. Mary’s Season Ticket Holder). The three of them reflect on the performance against the Cherries and look ahead to what many (except Adam of course) consider a ‘must win fixture’ against Newcastle, which is next for Saints in the Premier League.Episode 48 of the Podcast also includes chat about footballers on social media, goal droughts, fan surveys and (maybe more randomly) ex-Monaco manager, Leonardo Jardim.Total Saints Podcast is the dedicated weekly Podcast that goes to the heart of all things Saints FC – and we make no apologies for that!Twitter: @totalsaintspodFacebook: www.facebook.com/totalsaintspodE-Mail: totalsaintspodcast@yahoo.comPartner: SaintsWorldOfficial Sponsor: Happy Hot Tubs Hosted on Acast. Folge vom 08.10.2018Episode 47 - Total Saints PodcastSigh.......Another home game for Saints ends in the normal way these days - without a win! Chelsea the latest victors at St. Mary's, 3-0.Again, its a defensive horror show, with a mixture of familiar soft/sloppy goals being conceded. Far too easy for Chelsea in general. The week had started positively, with a Carabao Cup win up at Goodison Park, but it was soon back to earth with a bang, after Eden Hazard (and his mates) gave Mark Hughes side the run-around on Sunday. There seems no end to the Club's demise at the moment. Can't score at one end (despite a number of decent chances versus Chelsea) and can't keep them out at the other! On Episode 47, with Adam Leitch away, Ben Stanfield (Host) is joined by birthday boy Steve Grant (Owner of SaintsWeb) and Lucy Highnett. The three of them try desperately to maintain positive attitudes, but its hard. Really hard.Thankfully there's an International break for a couple of weeks now. A little ray of sunshine in what already looks to be a dark and gloomy season for the South Coast side!Twitter: @totalsaintspodFacebook: www.facebook.com/totalsaintspodE-Mail: totalsaintspodcast@yahoo.com Hosted on Acast.
