In tonight's episode I sit down with fellow podcaster Dillon Perron of The Animals at Home Network and we discuss the concepts behind high level keeping. As the amphibian and reptile hobbies have grown over the past few decades, our attitudes towards keeping have advanced as well. It is now common practice to house animals in more naturalistic enclosures, replicate their normal lifecycles with seasonal variations, and to provide them with some form of behavioral enrichment. Dillon and I have an open discussion about many of these points, we compare and contrast some of our own experiences, and we share how we have each progressed through our respective hobbies. Folge vom 05.06.2021Episode 43. BONUS EPISODE - The Incident at the ZooIn last week's episode I was joined by professional zoo keeper, Mason Kleist and we discussed animal husbandry from a zoo keeper's perspective. The story made international news, she was subsequently arrested after her video went viral, and she is now facing charges. In this Bonus Episode, Mason joins us again to discuss the event as well as the ramifications and consequences associated with the woman's irresponsible actions.-Note- Although this is an amphibian focused show, there is no discussion of amphibians in this episode.
