The federal government has ordered an urgent review of Australia's COVID-19 vaccine contracts, ahead of today's meeting of Commonwealth, State and Territory Health Ministers. Health Minister Mark Butler says while he has no primary concerns, the review is to ensure the arrangements signed off on by the former government remain fit for purpose.

It's now been a week since the US Supreme Court revoked the constitutional right to abortion, tearing up 50 years of precedent. The New Yorker's Stephania Taladrid was at the Houston Women's Clinic in Texas when the Supreme Court decision came down a week ago.

How often do you hear off the cuff remarks like, "why are all the good men taken", or husbands referring to their wives as "the old ball and chain". There's a term that tries to define why we use those phrases, it's called heteropessimism and it paints a rather dire picture of heterosexual relationships.
